What a LocoBench number means
Each measurement is a tier floor, not a ranking.
If your card has at least this VRAM and at least this bandwidth, in the same or newer architecture, you will match or beat the result below.   same specs → same number.   newer architecture at same specs → better.   more of any spec → better.

Interpretation key
Same VRAM + same bandwidth = same result expected
Same VRAM, newer arch > better
Same arch, more bandwidth > better
More VRAM unlocks bigger models (different tier)
The floor is real: CC 5.2 Maxwell cards are here. 2 GB runs TinyLlama. 4 GB runs Phi-3 Mini. 6 GB runs 7B Q4. Everyone gets to participate — not just 24 GB rigs.
Secondhand tiers ($ and $$) require patience — thin supply and erratic pricing. Prices exclude postage.
